"My appointment was cancelled two or three times from the original scheduled date which was in Aug/Sept. I was told 2x when I called to check on openings that a supervisor would call me back to figure something out sooner. No one ever called. I then had a water site gauge leak in my basement, the technician came out same day, fixed it quick and it cost the same amount as it did for a furnace cleaning. Something that most likely could have been prevented if we had the original cleaning a few months ago. I called to dispute the bill or see about a discount due to this. The supervisor I spoke with was going to talk with the technician and see his thoughts, then call me back. He still has not called me back. I have since had my furnace cleaning appointment, with the same technician, whose first words out of his mouth when he walked into my home were, This isnt going to be free!. I have had Strogens for a few years now and have never had issues till now."

"If I was just rating the service technician and installers of new furnace, I would have given a 10. Because the call service center is not local and didn't seem to understand the importance/danger of the problem and with the receptionist at the local office didn't seem to relay how bad our problem was, I choose to give a 6. If I was just rating the call service I would have given a 1. When the carbon monoxide levels were so high in our home, and the technician was stunned that were alive, it made me realize that the call center and the local receptionist should be better trained in what is an emergency is and is not. Not having heat is not the only emergency; there are other problems that need emergency help."

"This is the 2nd year in a row where I scheduled in Aug-Sept for heating service in Oct. (this appointment was written on my calendar when made), When the date arrived, the technician did not show up as scheduled. When I called, I was told we do not service that area (which I know was wrong), then I was told there was no appointment scheduled & that someone from management would call back to resolve the issue (this never happened). After a couple of more calls & no resolution/return calls, another appointment was scheduled 2 months out (in the middle of Dec). This service was completed on time & technician performed a very good job. We have been customers (both heating & A/C) for several years, our only complaint is with the scheduling of appointments in the fall and with customer service/response to issues. The technicians have always performed very well we have no issues with this part of the service."

"The $258 cost of a required repair seemed to be quite expensive, considering the part costs about $50 and the labor was 20 minutes. My local plumber would have completed the repair for about $120 if that was the only thing he did (less if I combined other plumbing repairs at the same time). Given that the technician was already present on site, the cost seems excessive. Not a good first experience if future pricing will be similar."

"I called on 1 Dec to schedule service. I was told that the earliest I could be seen was 9 Dec but I would be but on call. On 1 Dec I was contacted by a technician who said he would be out on the the 2nd of Dec. He never showed up or called. On 9 Dec I called again and asked what happened, the woman I spoke to said she was u sure but she will elevate and I should receive a call in about an hour. No one called, I called again on the 10th and spoke to someone else and she said they could put me on call again. On the 10th a technician arrived and said my power venter needed a new motor and he placed the order and replaced a couple things and that he would be back on Monday 13 Dec. to clean my furnace and replace the motor. No one showed up and no one called. I have called again on the 15 of Dec and spoke to someone who was going to check on the part and he has not called me back."

The folks who did the work were here exactly when they said they would be, did great work, and were very patient with this customer that asked a thousand questions. :) The only reason I didn't give a full "10" is because I had been told that the office was going to schedule simultaneous work on rerunning the feed/vent tubes for my oil tank and that didn't happen and the folks who arrived to do the work hadn't been told anything about that. I also didn't initially receive any notice that the folks were coming - it was only because I called my sales consultant that I found out it was happening."

We found the note less than 10 minutes after he left and were afraid we'd have to wait weeks for the checkup on our furnace. "There were many problems scheduling the service that we required. Initially, we had an immediate problem (no hot water) and had a terrible time communicating with the scheduler. When I called back because we had no further contact later that day, I was told that a service person had called me and no one had answered. I had NOT received any phone calls. At that point I was told that a service person was scheduled for the next Monday. Very disappointing When no one called on that Monday, I called again and was told we were on the schedule for Friday! A full week after my original call! And we were due to be out of town!! We were able to get the immediate issue resolved without help, but wanted some one to come check the system. We have a service contract with Strogens. We have always had exemplary service in the past- quick response and helpful service. This experience was a real change and very disappointing. We finally had service done on the following Wednesday almost two weeks after our original call. The service technician was polite, prompt and effective. He was able to do the work needed to get the system working properly. I give the technician a 10 for service. I give the scheduling department a 1. If I could give them a zero, I would do so. The people on the phone line did NOT help or even really understand what was needed. And then lied about it when I called back. NOT WHAT WE HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM STROGENS."

"You have no service, my furnace was serviced on Friday morning we left came home on Sunday it was not running. Waiting for hours on Sunday for a technician to call back and come out to repair what was done on Friday. Then the technician taped to filters together with duct tape and took my washable filter with him. It looked like a two year old put filter in. I called to speak with a supervisor to get filter back its been a week and no return call."

"Emergency call on Saturday, Nov 20th...technician stated we needed a board and he would have someone give us a call on Monday with an estimate. Never heard from anyone; I called 6 times on Monday, each time they stated that someone would get back to me within 2 hrs.Clearly, no one was getting the message or they just didn't care. I called Tuesday morning and finally got a return call. Rick came out to confirm what was needed and found all we needed was a thermostat. He had one in his truck and we now have heat. All of this could have been avoided...your call center clearly does not work. If Rick had not come out, we would have paid for something that we did not need. I was very happy with Rick. If he can be the one to take care of us from now on, I will continue to do business with your company."

"At first I ordered service for Nov. 16 but called them early Oct. to ask for a sooner appointment. They rescheduled me for Nov. 8th. Unfortunately I had to attend my aunts funeral and couldnt be there that day so I asked a work friend to house sit when the technician did his thing. All morning he waited and no one came. So while at the church service, I asked my wife to call and ask what happened. They said they had no record of a Nov. 8th service and that it would be on the 16th as originally scheduled. When the 16th came, a technician came to the house while I was at work and when he showed up he took one look at the system and said I thought it was gas, not oil and left. So my wife called the office and asked for a new guy to come. They told her that someone would be there in a few hours but by the time 5pm came I called the office myself and they couldnt give me a straight answer if anyone was coming or not. At the end of the day, they rescheduled us for the 18th AND the 23rd. My wife called the next day to confirm that they were actually coming the 18 and not the 23rd. Also by the end of the service we paid $225 when I was quoted on the same phone call that I tried to schedule on the 8th that service cleanings were $165. We paid more than we were quoted for. The wife says that the technician at least was very good when he came."

"Our first appt. Was scheduled between 2-4pm. Tech didn't show up until about 7pm even after dispatch twice told us he was in his way. First new furnace that was ordered was out of stock, but it took over a week to inform us. Replacement furnace was supposedly more expensive, but sales rep shared a document showing the prices if both, but the price on the original furnace was $5k less than what was originally quoted. We were told that the replacement furnace was in, but it still took almost a week to schedule an appointment. Techs came to install the new furnace, ripped out the old one then told us they ordered the wrong furnace. They left for the day and turned off our hot water. Several things were oromised us including rebates, but we never received any of the info. I could go on. Oh, and a week after having the furnace installed, I received a call saying that our furnace arrived and Strogens would like to schedule an appointment to do the install."

"You did everything wrong. The first service tech visit scoped the problem. It was a warranty call (you installed the new HVAC 4 months ago) yet we were send an invoice for $99. For the install the service tech was supposed to contact me before coming but he contacted the tenants. He did go there, but at a different day and time than was requested (3 babies in the unit set the parent's daily availability). Now we are waiting for someone to return to install the part. Maybe he came but didn't notify me."

"I was told I could sleep in my house with my dogs. I had a gas leak upstairs in my house. Dryer. They come out and said we dont see any thing wrong. Well my house was opened for 3 days with the burner off.you could not smell anything. Let me close up my house and put the heat on and dryer. But iam a woman that lives by myself. They were thinking I didn't know anything I went to the hospital because of the smell. I didn't feel good at all. My dogs didn't feel. I had a friend come in with a reader.it went off like crazy. He saved my life and my dogs. He has copies of the reading. Your people come in and said no your all set to stay here. Really. I turned the heat off and had windows open and turned the burner off again. I had a friend walk me through this. To find the gas leak. I was the one to find it.got picture of everything. Luckily Iam alive. Hope you guys don't send me a bill.This was really bad for me to go through. And on top off everything guy on the phone told me to get a plumber. You guys don't deal with gas dryer's. I said really. Just because iam a woman. Can't believe it. Iam stage 4cancer and had to go to the hospital again on Friday. Not good for me to smell all the fumes me and my dogs. Just listen please my friend saved my life. How would you guys feel if I died and my dogs?when the guy just over looked it.I lost most of my fish because it was so cold in my house. Please do not send me a bill.For something I found. "It took multiple calls and an email tp get a tech here for the job. The job was relatively simple and after talking to my plumber, we are both shocked at the cost. Retail price for #30 expansion tank is around $100--the cost of Strogen's service was about $425!!!! for less than an hour's work. WHAT? I got 15% off for being in the program, but even so, that was $369!!! Once the manager/tech FINALLY called to say he was coming (hours later) it was quick. Even he did not know what had happened on the office end for the lack of a call from the dispatcher. I have the program because I would like to think I would get service in an emergency. I worry that that will not happen after this last fiasco. I had intended to add my personal residnece (next door) to the program, but I am holding off for now. My maintenence for 17 % 19 Blossom is scheduled for Nov. I will wait to see how that goes."
