"It was 10 o'clock on a Thursday night when Parker arrived. He rapidly diagnosed the problem. Fixed it and then did other tests checking to make sure the fix was correct and looking for other possible issues. He was highly competent and that was very reassuring. I may be paying a small fortune for the furnace and air conditioner Strogens installed and that visit TOTALLY convinced me I made the best decision using Strogens for my HVAC!!!!"

"All in all it has been a great experience working with all those involved. Only glitch that arose is minor in scope and has to do with placement of 2 shut-off switches for the mini splits and the condenser being attached a little too high to the house. These are in the process of being resolved, hopefully soon. There were a lot of moving parts with other workers in the house and especially the town road/sewer/water pounding ledge work being done just outside, feet from the house. So a lot of noise and chaos One side note the other workers in the house were impressed with the crews doing the installation and enjoyed sharing the work space with them. Thanks all"

"I called at almost 7pm and a tech was at my house within the hour. My system was iced over and couldn't be serviced. Unfortunately the tech told me to run my system on fan all night but he accidentally set both heads to auto, and one was trying to run heat while the other was trying to run AC. I called again the next morning because the system was still iced over. The tech that came out was friendly and courteous. It took him a bit but he determined that the system had been wired improperly. I can certainly understand that we are all human, and mistakes can be made. I am impressed, however, but the responsiveness of the service techs. I am very happy with the system overall."

"The technician called me around 7:30pm to say he was on his way. I had all but given up hope that someone would make it out to our house at that point, so I was thrilled. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem, even with the sun going down and mice scurrying around our AC unit. We are very grateful. My negative, which has nothing to do with the service provided by the technician (but I don't know where else to put it) is with scheduling. I scheduled my appointment online - or, at least, I thought I did. When I called the next day to follow up I was told that the appointment had not been confirmed because the technicians were overbooked. Had I not called, I would have waited around all day for no one to show up and for our problem to continue. In the future I will call to book my appointments, but I would just recommend that you overhaul that booking system so that that doesn't happen to other people."

"Jim came by 10 am for yearly maintenance check. He advised that the heat exchanger appeared to have a small leak, but the unit was running and he would speak with someone at Strogen's for 2nd opinion. He left. About 2 hours later I had no hot water and the heating baseboards did not get warm/hot. I did have both earlier in the morning. I called to have a tech come back out in the afternoon to address the issue, The same tech arrived by 4, looked at the unit - said there was dirt or something on the exchanger, he cleaned it off - ran tests for hot water and we had it again. He said he had been speaking with another Strogen rep and the unit needs to be replaced - the exchanger has a 10 year warranty (was installed 2013) but the manufacturer doesn't make that part anymore so the unit will need to be replaced. Someone will be reaching out to me soon. But the hot water should be available until it can be replaced. Then he left. Well, around 6pm no hot water again. I called and they would send a tech out Friday night to address the issue. Rick arrived around 7:30. He inspected the unit then tested for hot water. We had hot water again. I told him about the day's events and asked him to place a note on the account to expedite the replacement process. I don't want to have to do this again with 3 calls in one day. It's Sunday, and we still have hot water. So, I'm not sure what Rick did differently. However, I still would like the replacement done as soon as possible - especially where there is a known issue that can cause future issues. Plus the exchanger is still under warranty. As a 30 year customer of Strogen's I trust the issue will be resolved soon. I appreciate the 2 extra service calls and thank you for your assistance. I look forward to hearing from Strogens very soon. Thank you!"

"The tech called to say he would be on his way. I explained that due to Covid19, I had left the basement door unlocked and the lights on and that I would be in our kitchen working while he serviced our HVAC unit. I waved to him when he arrived, reminding him I was available to speak from a distance if there were any concerns, and pointing again the direction of the door. When he was leaving, I asked how it went and his reply was essentially that we had an old a/c unit and that he didn't know why we weren't replacing it. He said he left the documents on our furnace. Then he returned to his truck, sat there for a bit, and then left. When my husband and I checked the documents, it appeared he had serviced only the exterior AC unit and nothing else. I am not sure why he didn't clean the furnace as it is the same air exchange unit. Also, if he felt that our AC compressor was so old as to not be worth servicing, I don't know why he didn't say anything without my asking. It felt as though he was annoyed he had been out to do the work."
