I wish I’d read the other reviews before I tried to schedule an appointment. Naive of me to trust the overall star rating system. The repair technician, John, who was scheduled for to check my boiler was a no show with no notice. I was assigned a FIVE hour window that he could potentially arrive, from 4 pm to 9 pm. I called at 6 pm for an update and was told I could not have an ETA. At 9 pm, I tried to call Strogen again and was hung up on repeatedly. I tried again at 940. The first agent informed me that they put my appointment on hold pending me reaching out to them about a parking spot. First, I received no call or email regarding this. I’ve been home all day during this period of time because I’ve been waiting for this technician. I have a 3 car driveway with one car in the driveway.. and there are 2 open spots on the street directly in front of my house. They tried to contact the technician again, rang me once then immediately hung up when I tried to pick up. For a company that advertises 24/7 service, I didn’t think twice about a 9 pm show up time. But if that was the real reason why the technician didn’t show, if he had gotten hung up at the last job, then I would appreciate some kind of notice beforehand that I would be postponed. If this company at least provided any sort of communication, I’d have been able to try to reschedule with another company. Now, other HVAC companies are booked out and it’s another day with hot water, indefinitely.
