Expert Furnace Repair by Strogen's Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning

Keeping year-round relaxation shouldn’t be something that you have to be uneasy about every time you switch between your air conditioner and furnace as the temperatures change. While you certainly don’t long to have to even think about the possibility of your furnace breaking in the center of winter, it can be a realistic possibility with every transitioning year – especially if you’re not keeping up with annual furnace service.

At Strogen's Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, we understand that having the make a call in the middle of the night, on one of the lowest temperature nights in Rochester isn’t on any list of to-dos that you have, but it’s important to note that we should be your opening call. Regardless of the hour, the team at Strogen's Service Experts has a NATE-certified technician ready 24/7/365 to be there in your time of need. We can help get your furnace back up and working so everything can get back to routine and you can start enjoying the relaxation of your house once again.

Regardless of the make, model or age of your furnace, we have the knowledge required to get your system back up and running rapidly and correctly, the first time. We correlate the repair process to having a doctor do a checkup, prepare a diagnosis and then work to align the problem.

However, before giving us a call, there are a few clues that you should remember:

  • Is your thermostat set to “heat”? – when the weather finally adjusts and it is time to turn on your furnace, it’s common to forget to flip the switch over to “heat” for the cold weather. And believe it or not, it’s more common than you’d think. Do a simple check to make sure yours is set properly.
  • Furnace switch – it looks like a regular light switch, but it controls your furnace. It should be in the Up, or On, position. Once On, your furnace won’t start up immediately, but should turn on in a couple minutes as there are built-in delays in most systems.
  • Furnace filter – filters are sometimes forgotten about, but are one of the largest culprits when it comes to inefficient operation and poor performance for your furnace. Make sure you transition your filter every one to three months to have better performance.
  • Circuit breaker – if your furnace is not working, review the emergency shut off and your breaker. Cycle it by switching them off, then on again. If the system still doesn’t function, call us to help you determine the source of the problem.

*If you notice a strong gas smell, call Strogen's Service Experts immediately.
